pms self-care course

Find hormonal balance using mindfulness and herbs.

Every month I feel frustrated, angry and tearful. Sometimes I get anxious and paranoid, even depressed. You'd think after all these years of having periods Id be prepared by now. Nope! Last month, I picked a fight with my partner then cried like a baby because I'd hurt his feelings. Every little thing seems to set me off. Once I cried just because I saw a sweet elderly lady in the street! You'd think I'd know the signs by now. A week before I'm due on I turn into a human dustbin, hoovering up all the crap food in sight. But I still don't realise. I wish I was more in touch with my body. I just want to feel like myself again.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

Imagine what it would be like, to always know, instinctively, where you are in your cycle.

To live your life in harmony with the natural flow of your hormones, able to make the most of the highs and support yourself through the lows.

Imagine knowing what you body is REALLY craving under all the crap and being able to give yourself exactly what YOU need.

Imagine feeling peaceful, fulfilled, empowered and happy, knowing that your body reflects the rhythms of the moon. Knowing that you're part of something bigger.

How does the course work?

How does the course work?

The course is delivered through a members-only website. You can access all the course material at once but I'd recommend taking each section one week at a time. Each week includes a webinar, printable slides and a worksheet. The course is made of the following sections as well as a variety of amazing bonus material so you never feel out of control again! The course is only available to those in Europe at present.

THE COURSE CONTENT

  • Week 1: What's normal? This week you'll learn how to differentiate between normal changes in hormones, PMS and hormonal health conditions. I'll show you how the hormones work to create physical signs and symptoms which can be tracked. This is the week to start taking the Goddess drops in your PMS self-care kit. You'll receive a webinar, and a pdf guide to the herbs used in your Goddess drops and why.
  • Week 2: Learning to chart your hormones. At school we're taught all about the period but what about the other three quarters of the month? This week you'll learn how to chart your hormones so that you can start to predict and prepare for PMS, ovulation and your period. Never get caught off-guard again.
  • Week 3: Going with the flow. Learn how to use your chart to change how you live your life to be in flow with your hormones rather than struggling against their effects. In each part of the menstrual cycle we'll look at the natural strengths you didn't know you had. A truly life-changing way to get in touch with your body.
  • Week 4: The importance of self-care. This week you'll learn how self-care can help with the natural ebb and flow of your hormones. You'll be shown how to use your kit to create your own waning moon bath ritual.

BONUS MATERIAL

FAQ

FAQ

Can I do the course if I take a hormonal contraceptive?

Yes you can do the course but you won't be able to use the practical advice on charting your hormones as your cycle is being changed by the pill you're taking. You will still be able to use many of the herbal remedies recommended and the PMS-care-kit. If you decide to stop using a hormonal contraceptive while doing the course it is highly recommended that you speak to your gynaecologist about alternative non-hormonal contraception methods to use in the mean time. It takes months to get to grips with the charting methods in the course.

What if I have a hormonal condition?

If you have a hormonal condition you can expect to see different results from charting than the "norm". This may limit the practicality of the course. However, I have encouraged patients with hormone conditions to chart their hormones and they have found it extremely beneficial in watching the slow and steady improvement of their conditions. It may also help you see definitively if the PMS-care-kit helps you support your hormones better.

If you're having to take hormonal treatment for your condition I do not recommend ceasing that without consulting your health advisor. This course will not treat the condition but it will support you with some of the symptoms you may experience.

What if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

If you're pregnant or breastfeeding the charts you'll learn to create won't be of much use till you starts to have periods again. If you want to take the course for future application that is totally up to you. I feel like everyone should have been taught this at school regardless of the choices they would make later in life.

What if I'm too busy?

The course is self-paced so you can study it at your own pace. But I recommend doing a  module each week. You almost certainly will have to make time for it. The hormone charting method is best for those who have a routine as it involves regular collection of data. However, if you want to learn it theoretically now and apply it later that's totally up to you.

What if I don't have periods?

Then you won't find the course useful. If you don't have periods for medical reasons, you can contact me personally for some personalised advice on if the course has any value to you. But you really need to have a natural hormone cycle to use the hormone charting method in this course.

PMS care kit

A gift box full of natural self-care treasures

I created this kit to help support the most common symptoms of the pre-menstrual phase and the period. Each one is hand made by myself which is why there is a deadline for the course. This will allow time for me to gather the ingredients and prepare them all in time for you to start the course at the same time. The content of the box can be combined in any way you wish but I've given you everything you need for a relaxing, nourishing, self-care ritual. This will help mark your pre-menstrual phase as a time for quiet reflection and rejuvenation.

Reviews

After being asked to review @foragebotanicals PMS Self Care course last month I have been eagerly waiting to complete my cycle so I could finally test out all these beautiful products that come with it. The course has made me feel empowered and connected to my natural rhythm and its equipped me with all the tools I need to live in total alignment with my cycle. Thank you @foragebotanicals for so bravely committing to this work ~ this is crucial knowledge that every woman should know ~ we should all know how to track our cycles ~ how to harmonise with our cycle ~ and how to be off the pill ~ most importantly we should be educated on this in schools ~ If schools won't pick this up then it is our duty to do the research, to learn so we can teach our daughters and they can teach theirs. This is our responsibility. I couldn't recommend this course more - Anoushka creator of the goddess Space

"I spent my early 20’s experiencing my periods as a nuisance, downing feminax and carrying on, but when we start taking notice of our physical and emotional symptoms through our cycles it can lead to amazing wisdom, and self discovery. It's so important to listen to our bodies when they tell us to slow down and rest.

Back then, most women in my circles lived in a constant state of casually hating their bodies and periods, and it set me off on a bit of a journey. From embracing the way my body looks naturally and dropping the self hatred, to choosing whole healthy food that nourishes my body, rather than trying to make it skinny, and more recently to learning about my hormone cycles and how *amazing* they are!

I know for some that this might all sound a bit strange- it certainly did for me when I first read about it, but if you take anything from this post, I hope you know that your cycles are POWERFUL. And they deserve to be honoured. And if you can spend a little time nourishing yourself during the PMS bit, you would feel so much better for it." - Hannah Bullivant creator of Seeds and Stitches

"Starting to learn that there are times in the month where I need to understand my body and allow myself to not be so rigid with my timetable and plans. Friday was a learning curve, I spent hours taring at my laptop, my mind blank and exhausted and my body in pain. In the end, after wasting nearly the whole day trying to achieve something and actually not getting anything done, I surrendered to my body and watched @ForageBotanicals PMS course video and then Harry Potter. I made up for it on Sunday and did my work efficiently and with ease, and actually enjoyed it!! Funnily enough, the PMS self-care course began helping me understand my cycle and helped me feel less guilty about struggling so much to get stuff done." - Jess creator of @Thisendolife

"This course has been excellent. I loved the emphasis on my PMS being natural and normal. I had no idea that I could keep track of my hormones myself. I used one of the cheat sheets for my acne and so far it's been improving. Long may it last! Now I know how to use my PMS time productively. Just having the information ready feels like it'll change my life. I especially liked learning about the psychosocial elements to my hormone cycle. I won't ignore or brush off my PMS like I used to again."

"The course has totally changed the way I think about my PMS. What a revolution! Now I see it as a strength. When I'm approaching my PMS I know what I need to do to plan my time and make it as smooth as possible. I'm finally starting to embrace being a woman rather than seeing it as a hindrance! Thank you."
